High Efficiency Furnaces

The energy efficiency of a furnace is measured by a rating called AFUE expressed as a percentage.

AFUE is the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency and tells you how much energy is being converted to heat.

As an option we offer the option to upgrade the already High Efficiency Gas and Propane furnace to a Premium High efficiency furnace which has an amazingly high AFUE rating of 96.6%.

The "Premium High Efficient Furnace" also includes an ECM motor, whose electronics and DC format add to the energy savings. Electric forced air furnaces and electric baseboard heat are also available.

In respect to fuel efficiency, electric forced air furnaces are rated 100% efficient as there is no conversion the energy/fuel in the home.

Both electric options require the purchase of added insulation including exterior code board, higher insulation rating in the calls to R29 and attic to R50, as a building code requirement.
