Royal Homes supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Specifically, goal 12.5 which is to substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. Reuse was the focus when we considered donating to Habitat for Humanity.

When the Habitat for Humanity Restore opened in Wingham in April of 2019, Royal Homes reviewed inventory and decided to make a significant donation to the Restore. We feel that the work Habitat for Humanity does in providing homes for families in need is of tremendous importance.
Items donated to the Restore:

• Countertop
• Shutters
• Medicine Cabinet
• Door Hinges, Stops, Pulls
• Handrails
At Royal Homes we feel that prefabricating our homes in a factory allows us to cost-effectively manage our inventory; but when we do have older inventory, it’s good to know it can be used by the Habitat for Humanity Restore and not go to landfill.
