I didn’t know that much about building foundations at the beginning of the process, but I knew that a solid foundation was critical to the success of the final build. So as we were researching homes, we wanted to make sure the builder took full responsibility for the foundation.
You can visit Royal’s “advantage” page online for full information, but here’s a couple of things that really impressed us.
First of all, Royal Homes takes ownership of every step of the process. The foundation forms the setting of the home. The house you just designed has to fit perfectly on the foundation. Royal Homes has been doing this a long time so they know just how important it is to get it right the first time. That’s why they use their own team to supervise the foundation build.
They also have a 5 year ‘no leak’ warranty. During the building of our home, I was very impressed by the knowledge, skill and integrity of the team that worked with our home.
I haven’t mentioned this yet, but we had a project manager through the entire process. This was extremely helpful. He kept us informed and up-to-date on what was happening. So when they poured the basement, I was there. Not that I really knew what was happening, but I truly felt a part of the build. Not all home owners want to be there at every step – but Royal Homes makes sure you know what’s happening.
