Keep Life Simple and Easy with The Belmont’s Light and Airy One-Storey Open Plan

Articles

If you’re looking for the simplicity of the bungalow lifestyle, look no further than the Belmont.

Introduced to Canada in the early 1900s, the bungalow is a classic architectural design that has stood the test of time. With the trend of living heading towards minimalism and reduced spaces, the bungalow is one of the ideal forms of open concept plans.

It’s no wonder that the Belmont’s 1,091 square foot open plan appeals to a wide range of people and lifestyles. This light and airy two-bedroom home offers everything you need for easy living and cozy comfort all on one level.

Take a video tour of the Belmont and see this charming open plan home design in different settings.

Accessible Open Concept

The Belmont will be particularly appealing to those with reduced mobility. Are stairs becoming a challenge? No worries here! The generous spaces of this home make it easy for those with walkers and wheelchairs to maneuver. Need to widen a doorway? No problem! The Belmont’s interior is highly customizable.

Families with young children will appreciate the uninterrupted sight lines, where parents can easily keep an eye on their children while preparing dinner. The kitchen’s large centre-island is ideal for meal prepping, casual dining or conversation catch-ups.

Easy to Maintain

Maintenance is easy and affordable! Every Royal Home is constructed with exceptionally tight weather-sealing making the Belmont’s moderate and comfortable space easy to heat, cool and keep clean.

At Royal Homes we not only take pride in building high quality homes, we also back our home owners with superior service long after they move in. All of our homes include a 5-year no-leak foundation and a 10-year structural warranty.

Room to Grow

The Belmont is an excellent investment as a long-term home with room to grow.

Need another bedroom? The Belmont’s simple interior makes it easy to add on to and extend your living space. As your family grows, and your space requirements change, the simplicity of adding more rooms is a distinctive advantage of this flexible floor plan. The large basement offers many renovation opportunities for additional bedrooms, laundry and bath.

Can you add a loft to a bungalow? Depending on the roof structure it may be possible to add a loft or dormers to expand living space.

Customizable

At Royal Homes, all of our homes are highly customizable. Our design experts are happy to work with you to make sure your home suits you and your family in every possible way.

There’s a Royal Homes Design Centre near you where you can tour one of our model homes. Here you can wander through the decorated rooms at your leisure. See and feel all the elements that go into a new home… cabinets, countertops, flooring, doors and handles, bathrooms, lighting, and more.

Imagine the open living space of the Belmont with the clean look of red oak, maple or birch hardwood floors or perhaps consider a ceramic tile floor if you have pets or young children. You also have many options when it comes to choosing kitchen cabinets such as wood panel, thermofoil, or painted door styles. Everything is customizable!
