Top 5 Most Popular Home Builds of 2018

Planning Your Lot & Home, Design Trends

This year has come and gone and so many of our models have been designed and constructed from houses to homes. From prefabricated cottages to bungalows, there are so many options to choose from – but where do you start? After looking at social media reactions to our different models, we have found the top 5 most popular home builds for 2018.

The Citadel

The Oxford Model is popular since it’s a versatile home for all stages of families. Bungalows are a popular type of home as it keeps all the bedrooms on the same level, which is perfect for younger families. While looking for a forever home, bungalows are an excellent long-term home to grow into as it accommodates for any future mobility limitations.

The best feature of The Oxford for future homeowners, specifically parents, is that the master suite is secluded from the other bedrooms. This has made The Oxford popular as it combines the best of both worlds, which appeals to all.

The Lynden is our second bungalow on this list! It’s very popular as it is a great option for those working with narrower lots.

A great attribute of this model is there is a focus on a combined living room and kitchen area, which is perfect for any entertainers. Although it’s the perfect cozy, low maintenance home, it still boasts an open living space, 3 bedrooms, and an ensuite bathroom.

Our Citadel Model is our largest home on this list. Aside from the large floor plan, The Citadel’s best quality is all their high efficiency windows and doors that bring in so much natural light throughout the house – it’s beautiful.

This model has a master suite on the main floor, separate from the extra bedrooms on the second level. This allows privacy from family and allowing any guests to have a separate living area upstairs. As for the extra bedrooms upstairs, the Jack and Jill bathroom between the 2 bedrooms is an excellent feature for families.

You will have no issues accommodating or fitting your whole family or guests into our Citadel model!

Royal Q15A

The idea around designing the Royal Q series was that everyone should be able to afford a beautiful cottage designed by a skilled architect. Step in the Royal Q15A – quite a unique model, which must be why our social followers “liked” it so much!

There are so many things about the Royal Q15A that makes it a clear front-runner for 2018. Firstly, the size is perfect for a cottage getaway. It focuses more on large windows and balconies to allow the outdoors to still feel like your living room when you’re inside.

Do we have to mention the second floor as a full bedroom getaway? This model has your own floor to yourself where you can have your morning cup of coffee on your personal balcony while overlooking nature. Need we say more?

Bala LE

The Bala LE is our second cottage-style on this list, this time with more square footage. With 3 bedrooms and a grand living/dining area, this is the perfect vacation home for families.

This model is popular for its rich wooden beams, ample open floor plan, and floor to ceiling windows. It makes good use of all of its 1600 square feet, not to mention the screened in porch, which even utilizes your outdoor space. This unit brings a great combination of traditional family home mixed with vacation getaway, which is why it is such a favourite!
